Richard J. Kahn Architect is a full service Architectural firm specializing in hi-end residential design. It is important to say from the start that Richard shares in the excitement of his clients about their projects. He is passionate about helping them bring their visions to life.

Richard began practicing architecture nearly 20 years ago. He received his Bachelor’s of Architecture degree in 1986 from Syracuse University, after spending a year studying architecture in Florence, Italy. He considers architecture a calling and finds his work highly fulfilling. He brings this enthusiasm to every project he designs.

Richard became licensed in New York State in 1989 and in New Jersey in 2002. He is NCARB certified, a member of the AIA and a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional, practicing Green Design.

Richard’s work has been published in many periodicals including the New York Times, PBC International Bars, Niteclubs and Taverns, New York Magazine, Lighting Dimensions, Architectural Lighting, Casabella, Construire, The Princeton Packet and the NJ Real Estate Biz.

He has worked on a large variety of projects from small bathroom renovations to a 500,000 square foot office building for one of the nation’s largest pharmaceutical companies.

Perhaps most importantly, Richard listens to you. He does not impose his taste or style on the projects that he works on. Instead, he collaborates with you so that you achieve your goals.
